My Experience Of Watching Live Bands

A cover band is a music group that performs songs originally produced by other famous bands. Sometimes, they dress like the original band, take on their persona, and rock out like the classics. Some of them name their group as a spoof to the original and come up with creative names like Odyssey instead of Journey. Cover bands are different than a band covering a song from an original artist. Cover bands strictly perform the band they are trying to emulate. Some bands that are trying to make their way into the music industry will do a cover of a song from a more famous band, but rerecord it to make it sound like their own.

Another tribute act which springs to mind was a Madness / Bad Manners tribute band. This was over 10 years ago in a bar in Southampton called Brannigans. It was a great night.

Dig out that old boom box and jump to a local Westchester park and have a Motown picnic with the kids. Wouldn’t it be fun to start jamming to those great old songs at a beautiful place like Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla? People from all over come to Kensico to relax, exercise and relax. Once you start your little Motown concert, the music vibe will most likely become contagious. Who knows if a little karaoke begins between families? Music can bring everyone together. That’s another great lesson to teach the kids.

There are many ways to hire a live band. Don’t be too stressed about it. You may do it yourself by flipping through the yellow pages and coming up with a few hundred.

Mullet Night is sponsored by Great Clips hair salons and begins on the outskirts of the park where you can enjoy 80’s eighties tribute act playing Poison, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and more. Once inside the park, you can participate in a “mullet march” and proudly don your real or wigged mullet along the warning track and also receive a free White Sox mullet tee shirt as a souvenir of this special night.

When you hire a live band for the reunion parties, then you should invite a tribute band or a decade band. The tribute band will pay tributes to the legendary bands or artists. A decade band will play the music of a particular decade.
